Police have seized 24 Kilogram Hashish and arrested a drug peddler during an action in the jurisdiction of Shaheed Mureed Akbar (SMA) Police Station on Monday.
Addressing a Media briefing at Police Station SMA, DSP Headquarters Khalid Iqbal Baloch said that on a tip off, police party headed by SHO SMA Fahim Mumtaz Marwat held a surprise check near Kour on main South Waziristan Avenue.
During the search of suspected vehicles, police recovered 24 KG Hashish from a Corolla motor car bearing number ATF-959 Sindh, he maintained. He further informed that the driver of the car namely Muhammad Sajid s/o Raes Khan Kundi was arrested and police have started interrogation to expose the network of drug peddlers.
Khalid Iqbal Baloch further noted that on the special directions of Regional Police Officer (RPO) Dera Ismail Khan Farooq Yasin and DPO Muhammad Arif, six more Check Points have been established across the district at Ali Kheil, Ashpari, Faqirni Morr, Gul Kot, Peerwana and Khirgi areas to control drug peddling and smuggling.
