On the instructions of Inspector General Police Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar, Punjab Police’s crackdown is continue without interruption for the arrests of the absconding criminals from the abroad, in continuation of which, the team of Punjab Police Special Operation Cell has extradited another dangerous fugitive who escaped to Kuwait after killing a citizen. According to the details, proclaimed offender Ijaz Ahmed escaped to Kuwait after killing a citizen in Aimanabad Gujranwala in February this year. Punjab Police issued a red notice to arrest the fugitive from Interpol, accused was arrested from Kuwait four months ago.
After completing the legal procedures, the Punjab Police team have returned home with the fugitive. This year, the total number of proclaimed offenders arrested from foreign countries has reached to 145. These proclaimed offenders have been arrested from America, Great Britain, Europe, Africa, Saudi Arabia and Gulf and Arab countries.
IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar appreciated the team of Special Operation Cell for tracing and extraditing the A-category fugitive from abroad. IGP Punjab directed that the legal process should be completed as soon as possible and the culprit should be punished from the court. IG Punjab directed that the crackdown should be intensified to arrest remaining dangerous fugitives wanted in serious cases with effective coordination with FIA, Interpol and other agencies.
