Punjab Inspector General of Police Inam Ghani has said that the Punjab Police is present for the protection, assistance and guidance of the citizens in every hour of need and will continue to take all possible steps for the protection of life and property of every distressed citizen.
He directed the senior officers of Lahore Police to go to the spot on their own to provide full support to the fire rescue and relief operation at Hafeez Center Gulberg and provide all possible help and guidance to the rescue teams engaged in the relief work. Stay on the scene until the operation is complete.
On the directives of the IGP, CCPO Lahore, DIG Operations and other officers including Divisional SP visited Gulberg Hafeez Center and supervised the rescue operation as well as gave guidelines to the personnel engaged in relief activities. Under the direction of IG Punjab, police teams are playing their full role in the relief activities using all available resources and also for security and rescue work around Gulberg Main Boulevard and Hafeez Center during the rescue operation.
