Senior Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader Rana Sanaullah said on Monday that the party was ready for general elections in the country, but only after electoral reforms.

He said this was the last year of the previous government’s five-year term, and obviously, general elections were next. He went on to add that the last Punjab government, led by Sardar Usman Buzdar, was ‘incompetent’. “Not only that, it had no shame,” he said, and added, “The last Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) government had no regard either for the law or for the constitution.”

Here, he added, the situation was that both President Arif Alvi and Punjab Governor Umar Sarfaraz Cheema were behaving in the same way. Punjab closes PTI afternoon school program

Punjab Education Department Monday notified the closure of flagship project of former government of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Afternoon School Program.

As per the notification 274 schools that were operational in the afternoon time to adjust the school going students, have now been closed.

SED justified its decision to close such branches of afternoon schools where there are not enough number of students being enrolled in the afternoon schools. It has been clarified that still over two lakh students are being enrolled in afternoon program schools. Pertinent to note that afternoon school project was launched by former PTI government in the wake of the lack of the rooms’ availability in the school to adjust the large number of students.
