Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leaders and workers on Wednesday celebrated the major legal victory for party Supremo and former three-time Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, his daughter Maryam Nawaz and son-in-law Captain (retd) Safdar in Avenfield Apartment reference.
PML-N President and former Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif lauded the verdict.
He took to X and said, “Praise be to Allah, today, once again, the victory of truth, patience, and steadfastness has prevailed, and another case of falsehood, coercion, and excess against Nawaz Sharif has reached its conclusion,”.
Shehbaz Sharif said, “In the Avenfield case, our beloved leader, viewed through the lens of the law, has emerged triumphant. Although there has been significant delay, today once again, the innocence of Nawaz Sharif has been affirmed,”. Later, he congratulated his elder brother Nawaz Sharif over his acquittal in the Avenfield case.
He said, “I extend my congratulations to our leader on this acquittal. This is a victory for justice and the people,”.
PML-N Senior Vice-President Maryam Nawaz reacted to the IHC verdict by saying, ““When a person, despite enduring oppression, surrenders their affairs to Allah Almighty, it becomes an example of how they triumph in the eyes of the whole world. Thanks be to Allah!”.
On the other hand, the party leaders distributed sweets among the workers and hired drum beaters to mark the legal victory. The workers danced on the drum beating and chanted slogans for their leadership.
PML-N Lahore President Saiful Malook Khokhar and General Secretary Khawaja Imran Nazir made different arrangements to mark the victory of the legal battle of Nawaz Sharif.
Former Federal Minister Rana Mubashar Iqbal and Mian Imran, another leader from PP-170, also held the celebrations for the victory in the legal fight.
