Prime Minister of Pakistan Shehbaz Sharif called for a more effective media policy to address what he describes as an organized campaign against the state, government, and national security institutions.
PM Sharif highlighted concerns over a coordinated effort, possibly involving misinformation and negative propaganda, aimed at undermining the credibility and stability of these entities in a meeting with PMLN Parliamentary leader of in Senate and Chairman Senate Standing Committee on Foreign Affairs Senator Irfan Siddiqui.
He urged ruling PML-N to use all resources in crafting a media strategy aimed at informing the public. During the meeting, PM Shehbaz and Senator Irfan Siddiqui also discussed media issues, public challenges, and the overall situation, with a strong emphasis on exposing those responsible for sowing disorder and instability.
The premier praised PML-N’s role in Upper House of Parliament and encouraged members to guide elected officials in upholding democratic values and fostering a supportive environment.
He also congratulated Mr Siddiqui on his appointment as Chairman of the Senate Standing Committee on Foreign Affairs, and expressed confidence in the committee’s efforts to promote a positive and peaceful image of Pakistan.
