Governor Punjab Chaudhry Mohammad Sarwar said that Prime Minister Imran Khan and the government will complete their constitutional term till 2023. The issue of foreign funding case is in the Election Commission, will discuss it when the verdict comes.
He said, “No one wants Jahangir Khan Tareen to leave the party but he is making his own political decisions. I will not say anything more about them.
I am not in charge of the local body election campaign in Punjab. All decisions are being made in consultation with Punjab President Shafqat Mehmood and his team. Thanks to the successful economic policies of the government, most of the investment is being made in the housing sector.”
While addressing a ceremony and responding to questions of journalists during media talk after the inauguration of “Taamir Pakistan Expo” at Expo Center Lahore on Saturday, Chaudhry Sarwar said that he has heard that Nawaz Sharif is coming to Pakistan.
We have nothing to do with his decision. As far as Jehangir Khan Tarin is concerned, he is making his own decisions about his politics. But no one wants him to leave the party and go elsewhere. I will not say more than that. PTI is united under the leadership of Prime Minister Imran Khan.
Governor Punjab said that Opposition has been talking of sending Prime Minister Imran Khan home since Tahrik Insaf came to power but so far the opposition has failed in its intentions.
Inshallah, both Prime Minister Imran Khan and the government will complete their constitutional term. Then we will go to the people and whatever the people decide with the power of their vote, we will accept it because we respected the decision of the public earlier and will continue to do so.
Replying to a question regarding local body elections in Punjab, Chaudhry Sarwar said that the post of Governor Punjab is constitutional and apolitical. I have no responsibility given by the prime minister regarding the election of candidates for local body elections and other issues. As far as consultation is concerned, we consult on every issue in the party and will continue to do so. The party has formed provincial organizations in all provinces of the country, including Punjab, which will take decisions in consultation on various issues, including the strengthening of the party. I will take part in politics in the general elections of 2023 and I will make decision in consultation with the party.
Governor Punjab said that there is no other example of the facilities provided by the present government to Pakistan and foreign investors.
Today most of the investment in Pakistan is in the housing sector and I urge those who invest in the housing sector to ensure that the rules are followed in all cases so that they do not face any difficulties in the days to come.
