Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) launches its post-Hajj flight operations starting from today, May 9, and continuing until June 10, 2024. Direct flights to Jeddah and Madina will be operated from eight Pakistani cities: Islamabad, Karachi, Lahore, Peshawar, Multan, Quetta, Sialkot, and Sukkur.
The spokesperson for PIA announced that approximately 34,000 pilgrims will be facilitated through 170 flights during this period. Of these, 19,000 pilgrims are part of the government scheme, while 15,000 are private pilgrims. Pilgrims departing from Karachi or Islamabad can benefit from Saudi immigration facilities at the airport, courtesy of the Road to Mecca Project.
