Petrol price in Pakistan goes up for first half of December 2024; Check new rates

ISLAMABAD – Federal government of Pakistan jacked up petrol, and diesel rates for first half of December 2024, with new price of petrol touching at Rs252.1 for next two weeks.

A notification shared by Ministry of Finance said price of petrol has been increased by Rs3.72, bringing it to Rs 252.1 per liter while High-Speed Diesel saw a significant increase of Rs3.29 now priced at Rs258.43 per liter.

As price of petrol and diesel moved up till December 15, 2024, the cost of Kerosene and Light Diesel also changed.

These adjustments are in response to ongoing fluctuations in global oil prices and Pakistan’s domestic economic challenges.

The government continues to address the impact of rising energy costs, which have been a key topic of national debate due to their effect on the economy and consumer prices.
