ISLAMABAD – The federal government is expected to revise up the petrol and diesel prices in Pakistan in upcoming fortnightly review for December 2024.
The government will announce the revision in petroleum prices tonight, November 30, while the new rates will be applicable from December 1 to 15.
Reports suggest that the Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) is expected to recommend an increase in petrol prices for next month as global prices have witnessed upward trend in recent days.
Current Petrol Prices in Pakistan
The current petrol price stands at Rs248.38 per litre in Pakistan for November 2024 while the price of high speed diesel stands at Rs255.14.
What is Expected?
As per reports, the government is expected to increase the petrol prices by Rs3.15 to Rs251.53 while the price of high speed diesel would be hiked by Rs3.20 to Rs257.34.
The final decision about the increase in petrol prices will be made the the federal government after reviewing the various factors including available stock, revenue generations and international prices.
