The increase in petrol prices is linked to the recent trends in the international oil market. In the coming days, the government will impose an additional petroleum levy of Rs5, further contributing to the price hike.

In this year’s Budget, the government jacked up petroleum levy on petrol and diesel to Rs80 per litre as fuel prices will experience significant surge.
