Product | Rs/Litre |
---|---|
Petrol | 247.30 |
Diesel | 246.29 |
The fifth cut in petrol price is due to drop in global crude oil prices. In previous adjustment, the government slashed petrol prices by Rs 10 per liter and high-speed diesel by Rs 13.06 per liter while kerosene oil prices fell by Rs 11.15, and light diesel saw a Rs 12.12 reduction.
In last two weeks, crude oil prices saw drop of over three percent after reports indicated that Riyadh might abandon its $100 per barrel target and plans to increase production in December alongside OPEC members.
Currently, Brent crude is currently priced at $71.60 per barrel, while US West Texas Intermediate stands at $67.67 per barrel. These global price shifts are expected to influence further adjustments in fuel prices at the pump in Pakistan.
