KARACHI – The retail price of cement across Pakistan saw slight decrease for the second week in a row, with price of each bag hovered around Rs1490-1500.

In late September, the average retail price of a cement bag in northern cities was recorded at Rs1497 , reflecting a 0.74% decline from the previous week’s price of Rs1510. In southern cities, the price saw a minimal drop.

City-wise Price Breakdown

In the northern region, Islamabad recorded a price of Rs1459 rupees, followed by Rawalpindi at Rs1449. Gujranwala and Sialkot both had prices of Rs1500, while Lahore was the highest at 1530.

Faisalabad was priced at Rs1510 rupees, and Sargodha and Multan both at Rs1503. Bahawalpur recorded 1500, and Peshawar stood at 1543. Bannu’s price was 1470.

In southern cities, price was at Rs1340, while Hyderabad was slightly lower at Rs1333. Sukkur recorded Rs1450, Larkana at Rs1400, and Quetta at Rs1430.

The changes in price are due to fluctuations in market, which may influence construction costs across the region.
