Preliminary probe report presented to PM; Compensation package being prepared

The provincial metropolis wore gloomy look while the Peshawarites continued mourning the horrible suicide blast taking place a day earlier as the death toll of the deadly incident mounted to 100 on Tuesday. The preliminary investigation report of the suicide attack has been submitted to Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif.

With more victims succumbing to their wounds on Monday night and on Tuesday the death toll soured to 100 with many more people still stated to be in critical condition.

According to Mohammad Asim, the spokesperson of Lady Reading Hospital Peshawar, about 100 deaths were recorded so far in the medical facility with 53 people continued to be under treatment. Seven of the injured have been admitted to the intensive care unit, with the death toll feared to rise further. However, the condition of the remaining injured was stable.
