PESHAWAR – Widespread rains with heavy falls and gusty winds are predicted in Peshawar and parts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on Friday night and Saturday with occasional gaps.
Per the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD), moist currents from the Arabian Sea penetrate upper parts of Pakistan. A westerly wave prevails over upper parts of the country.
Under these weather conditions, widespread rains and gusty winds are predicted in Chitral, Dir, Swat, Kohistan, Malakand, Battagram, Buner, Abbottabad, Mansehra, Mardan, Swabi, Charsadda, Nowshera, Peshawar, Bajaur, Mohmand, Khyber, Kohat, Kurram, Karak and Hangu on Friday night and Saturday with occasional gaps.
Heavy falls are expected at isolated places in upper districts (Malakand, Battagram, Buner, Abbottabad, Mansehra, Mardan, Swabi, Charsadda, Nowshera and Peshawar) during the period.
Peshawar’s maximum temperature will likely remain between 34-36°C on Saturday and Sunday.
Meanwhile, rains occurred at isolated places in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa during the last 24 hours. Humid weather prevailed elsewhere in the province.

Dera Ismail Khan remained the hottest place in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa where the maximum temperature was recorded at 38°C.
In Peshawar, maximum temperature was recorded at 36°C. Relative humidity in the evening was recorded at 85 per cent.
