Inspector General of Police Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Sanaullah Abbasi has expressed the resolve to further improve the performance of the model Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Police and make it people friendly. “The performance and the reputation of the KP Police that has rendered matchless sacrifices in the war against terrorism, no doubt, is up to the mark yet there is always a room for improvement”. The newly appointed chief of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Police observed during an informal chat with the senior journalists belonging to Print media over a cup of tea at Central Police office here Wednesday afternoon. The provincial police chief was flanked by his senior members of the team including DIGs of KP Police. The KP principal Police officer on the occasion announced to observe 2020 as ‘Year of Sepoy’ to encourage the jawaans of the force keeping in view the matchless sacrifices offered by the KP police in war against terror. The IG Police also pledged to making the policing a successful story in the merged areas of the province though it was an uphill task owing certain difficulties. He said the implementation Fata reforms viz a viz policing in merged areas topped his priority lists being head of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Police followed by the eradication of the street crimes in the province.
