LAHORE – The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has imposed a lifetime ban on former member of the Board of Governors (BoG) Shakil Ahmed Shaikh on charges of financial irregularities.
The action has been taken on the recommendations of the committee formed about five months back to probe the charges of financial irregularities.
At that time, Shakil Shaikh was also suspended and the management of Regional Cricket Association Islamabad was handed over to an ad-hoc committee headed by Muhammad Junaid Akhtar.
Shakil Shaikh has been barred from holding office of regional associations, cricket associations, clubs or any portfolio under the PCB in the future.
Senior Journalist Mirza Iqbal Baig has shared the development in a post on micro-blogging platform X (former Twitter).
