Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has announced a few changes to the schedule of the upcoming T20 international series between Pakistan and Afghanistan.

PCB announced the changes in a joint statement with Afghanistan Cricket Board.

The three-match series was previously slated to begin on March 25th with the other two games scheduled for the 27th and 29th of March 2023.

The start of the series has now been brought forward by a day to March 24th with the last two games to be played on March 26 and 27 in Sharjah, UAE.

PCB explained that the changes in the itinerary were made necessary due to the unavailability of Hawk-Eye Technology for the previously agreed-upon dates.

“The two boards have agreed upon the changes in itinerary to ensure all the necessary broadcast technologies are available for the inaugural T20I series between the two sides” a PCB statement read.

The revised Pakistan and Afghanistan series schedule:

March 24: 1st T20I, Sharjah

26th March: 2nd T20I, Sharjah

March 27: 3rd T20I, Sharjah

The three-match series between the two sides will be the first time Pakistan and Afghanistan have squared off in a T20 bilateral series.

Pakistan replaced Australia in the role who backed out of their scheduled tour.
