ISLAMABAD – Pakistan’s seasoned politician and former Punjab chief minister Parvez Elahi suffered a bone fracture after slipping in the washroom in Adiala jail.
PTI Punjab president, who remained in jail for months, skips court hearing on Tuesday.
The deputy superintendent of Adiala Jail presented the medical report of Elahi in an anti-corruption court during the hearing of a case about illegal recruitment in Punjab Assembly. The jail official apprised the court that Elahi slipped in the washroom on March 17 and suffered a slight fracture.
In his absence, Judge Arshad Hussain Bhutta deferred indictment against the PTI leader and others and adjourned the case till next month.
