The Pakistan Academy of Letters (PAL) has received the renowned poet and an officer from the In-land Revenue Service (IRS) Sultan Muhammad Nawaz Nasir as Director General. He assumed the charge of his office on Wednesday.
Chairperson of the PAL, Dr NajeebaArif along with senior members of the academy welcomed the new DG to the academy upon arrival.
She hoped he would prove a good addition in the PAL team and contribute to the cause of literature and the welfare of poets and writers. He has earlier served as Secretary, Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) at the FBR Headquarters Islamabad. DG Sultan Muhammad Nawaz Nasir is a renowned poet and well-read man. He is considered an officer with great literary taste and has authored more than five books of poetry.
