Pakistani bowlers make unwanted record in 2nd Test match against Australia

MELBOURNE – On the second day of the Melbourne Test, Pakistani bowlers found themselves in an unfortunate record-setting situation.

The second Test match of the series witnessed a commendable performance from the Pakistani bowlers on the second day, dismissing the Australian team for a mere 131 runs and securing 7 crucial wickets.

However, during the Melbourne Test, Pakistani bowlers conceded an additional 52 runs in extras to the Kangaroos, marking a historic record for the most extras given in a single innings at the renowned ground.

On the second day of the Melbourne Test match, Australia amassed 318 runs in their first innings, while Pakistan managed to reach 174 runs, losing 6 wickets in the process.

Opener Imam-ul-Haq exited after contributing 10 runs, and both Captain Masood and Abdullah Shafique showcased noteworthy performances with half-centuries.

Recalling the Perth Test, Australia had secured a victory over Pakistan by 360 runs, leading the series with a score of 1-0. The Melbourne Test results are poised to significantly impact the dynamics of the series as it unfolds.
