KARACHI – Pakistani splendid climber Sirbaz Khan etched his name in history books as he conquered world’s highest mountain Everest without using supplementary oxygen.
Climbing Everest – the highest peak in the world located in Mahalangur Himal sub-range of the Himalayas – without Oxygen is an extraordinary feat, and only limited number of mountaineers have reached the summit of Everest without using supplemental oxygen.
Sirbaz Khan, who conquered over a dozen 8000m peaks, achieved another milestone by successfully scaling Mount Everest. The ace climber, who hailed from Hunza Valley, reached top today at approximately 12:30 PM PST.
With this feat, he became second Pakistani to accomplish this feat without oxygen after Sajid Sidpara.
The climber earlier looking to defer his plan to summit Shishapangma, 14th and final eight-thousander, due to Chinese authorities not opening the mountain for climbing this season.
