Pakistan, Saudi Arabia vow to expand economic ties

Islamabad – Federal Minister for Finance and Revenue, Shaukat Tarin held a virtual meeting with the Investment Minister of Kingdom Saudi Arabia, H.E Engr. Khalid Al Falih.

The two ministers vowed to expand the economic ties between the countries.

This meeting was a part of the series of consultation meetings between the two sides as a follow up of Prime Minister Imran Khan’s visit to the Kingdom last year.

In a press release issued by the Ministry and Broadcasting, both ministers highlighted deep-rooted bilateral ties and cordial relationships between the two countries.

Minister of State and Chairman Board of Investment Mr Muhammad Azfar Ahsan, along with other senior officers, was also present in the meeting.

Both countries discussed “the potential for increased collaboration and investment in the various sectors including agriculture, food security, Information Technology, infrastructure development, Refinery and vowed to extend business and economic ties.”

H.E Engr. Khalid Al Falih was also apprised about the actions and planning of the current government to attract and facilitate foreign investors.

The Saudi minister stressed the need for greater mutual investment in various fields.
