Pakistan road runner club excels at marathon

The 9th Lakson Investment SOP unified Marathon, hosted at Emaar DHA, witnessed an outstanding showcase of athleticism by the Pakistan Road Runner Club (PRR Club), with a remarkable tally of 100 athletes clinching medals across diverse categories.

The event, graced by South Asian Champion International Athlete Jamal Said from the PRR Club, highlighted the significance of fostering opportunities for both junior and seasoned athletes to thrive, according to a statement released on Monday. Saad, expressing his contentment with the seamless execution of the marathon, stressed the importance of inclusivity, asserting that juniors deserve avenues for growth and advancement in the sporting arena.

An exciting development for the marathon’s future editions is the participation of athletes from Australia, Canada, and the Czech Republic, indicating its burgeoning international reputation. Ahmed, Captain of PRR Sindh Chapter, commended the tireless efforts of Special Olympics Pakistan Chairperson and event organizer Ronak Lakhani in cultivating a robust marathon culture within the country.
