ISLAMABAD – Pakistani citizens residing in Australia can get their machine readable passports renewed by visiting the Pakistan Consulate General in Sydney and other cities of the country.
The embassy working hours for renewal of the passport are observed from 9:30 am to 3:00 pm from Monday to Thursday while the services are available till 12:30 am on Friday.
In order to save the time of overseas Pakistanis, the embassy has launched an online appointment system. The applicants can book an appointment of any day according to their convenience and visit the consulate general on that day to avail the services.
Documents Required for Passport Renewal in Australia
Pakistani citizens who want to get their passports renewed are required to bring the following documents along with them to embassy:
Original valid NICOP / CNIC
Copies of both parents’ CNIC / FRC
Last original Passport
In case of dual nationals: Original Australian Passport
Visa Grant Notice
Visa Entitlement Verification Online (VEVO)
In case of applicants on Bridging Visa E (BVE), a certificate from Attorney / Consultant / Agent stating reason for the Bridging Visa.
In case of applicants on Protection Visa, Form-P dully filled and signed.
For mail delivery of passport, self-addressed Express Post / Registered Post Envelope.
Pakistan Passport Renewal Fee in Australia
As of June 2024, the passport fee (non-refundable) varies according to the number of pages, validity period and processing category. The fee for 36-page passport with five years validity stands at 61 Australian dollars in ordinary category while the urgent fee stands at 163 AUD.
