ISLAMABAD – The National Electric Power Regulatory Authority (Nepra) has jacked up the electricity price by Rs3.76 per unit on account of third quarterly fuel cost adjustment.
The decision will put an additional burden of more than Rs40 billion on electricity consumers as it will be applicable across Pakistan.
The government will recover the amount in electricity bills of next three months – June, July and August 2024.
It will collect Rs1.90 per unit in bills for the month of June 2024 whereas 93 paisas per unit will be recovered in bills for July and August each.
Electricity Prices for June 2024
The electricity price for the month of June 2024 has been increased by Rs1.90 per unit. The new rates will be applicable across the country.
