ISLAMABAD – The government of Pakistan had made major changes to Visa Policy by increasing countries exempt from visa fees in light of Islamabad’s larger steps to forge deeper economic and trade ties.
Starting tonight at midnight, the Asian nation will implement new visa policy that will end fees for citizens of 126 countries as government took measures to simplify the application process.
With the announcement of new visa policy, Gulf countries nationals can get a visa upon arrival. Visitors from Saudi Arabia, UAE, Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman, and Qatar along with full list need to fill out a one-page form and will get 3-month renewable Visa.
Pakistan New Visa Policy
Pakistan’s Information and Broadcasting Minister Atta Tarar said the new visa policy comes ahead of Independence Day as he emphasized the government’s goal of boosting international tourism.
Tarar was of the view that doors of Pakistan are being opened to the world, and that framing this move as part of a larger effort to improve Pakistan’s global image and increase foreign tourism. He assured that the safety and security of tourists are top priorities.
