Pak gross national income surges by 46%

Pakistan’s gross national income has witnessed an impressive 46% growth in the initial six months of the current financial year, marking a substantial increase compared to the corresponding period last year.

This revelation comes from data released by the Ministry of Finance, signaling positive momentum in the country’s fiscal landscape.

According to the Ministry of Finance’s latest data, the gross national income during the period from July to December surged by 46% by showcasing a robust economic performance. Total national revenue reached 6.854 trillion rupees in the first half of the fiscal year, marking a significant 46% increase from the same period in the previous financial year.

In the second quarter alone, total revenues amounted to Rs 4.168 trillion, a substantial rise from Rs 2.682 trillion recorded in the corresponding period of the previous fiscal year.

The Federal Board of Revenue played a pivotal role in this economic upswing, recording a total revenue of Rs 4.469 trillion, indicating a commendable 30% growth compared to the same period in the previous fiscal year.
