Following the special directives of Inspector General of Police (IGP) Islamabad, Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi, the Islamabad Traffic Police has chalked out a special traffic plan for Eid Al-Adha, a public relations officer said.

He said that Chief Traffic Officer (CTO) Islamabad, Muhammad Sarfraz Virk, chaired a special meeting at Traffic Police Headquarters. The meeting was attended by SP Traffic, all Zonal DSPs, and beat inspectors.

During the meeting, the special measures taken by Islamabad Police on Chand Raat to provide maximum travel facilities to the citizens and to maintain an integrated traffic system in the city were reviewed.

In addition to their usual duties, more than 600 officers have been deployed in all major shopping centers, mosques, Imam Bargahs, graveyards, and public places in Islamabad. It was also decided to provide diversion points on busy highways for the convenience of the citizens. Furthermore, special squads of Islamabad Traffic Police have been deployed on highways and bus terminals, which are taking action against overcharging public transport service vehicles.
