Over 11,000 take SU entry test in second phase

The second phase of the pre-entry test for admissions in more than 70 different bachelor degree programmes for the academic year 2023 was completed on Sindh University campuses with as many as 11,580 candidates appearing in the exam.They took the test to qualify for admission against around 10,000 seats offered by the SU.Vice-Chancellor Prof (Meritorious) Dr Mohammad Siddique Kalhoro visited the centres at the main campus in Jamshoro and reviewed the examination process.

He inspected the arrangements and asked the candidates if they had any complaint about the facilities made available to them.SU registrar Dr Ghulam Muhammad Bhutto, Director Admissions Prof Dr Ayaz Keerio and other faculty members and administration officials accompanied the VC.

The test started at 10am and lasted 90 minutes.Separate blocks were set up for 3,355 female candidates in the Institute of Microbiology, Institute of Biochemistry, Institute of Biotechnology & Genetic Engineering, Department of Media & Communication Studies and Institute of English Language and Literature, while for 8,225 male candidates, the exam halls were established in Arts Faculty Building, Department of Zoology, Faculty of Engineering & Technology and Institute of Physics.Apart from it, separate examination halls were established in the Institute of Art & Design for a total of 308 candidates, including 85 female and 223 male candidates who could not take the test in the first phase on October 30.
