NEW YORK – The much-anticipated nominations for the 2024 Oscars were disclosed, with the film ‘Oppen Heimer’’ leading the pack with an impressive 13 nominations.
The prestigious 96th Academy Awards ceremony is slated to unfold on Sunday, March 10th, directly from the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood.
The hosting duties for the fourth time are expected to be undertaken by Jamie Camell.
In the Best Picture category, the nominees include American Fiction, Barbie, Anatomy of A Fall, De Hollywooders, Maestro, Past Lives, The Zone of Interest, The Holdover, Colors of the Flower Moon and Poor Things.
Following closely behind ‘Oppen Heimer,’ Poor Things secured a substantial 11 nominations, encompassing various categories such as Best Picture, Best Director, and Best Actress.
With 10 nominations including Best Director and Best Actress, ‘Colors of the Flower Moon’ stands as another strong contender.
However, Leonardo DiCaprio, the lead actor, did not clinch a nomination for Best Actor.
Barbie earned its share of the spotlight with 8 Oscar nominations, recognized in categories like Best Picture, Best Supporting Actor (Ryan Gosling), and two nominations for Best Songs. Notably, Barbie missed out on a nomination in the Best Director category.
