Adam Khan Wazir Wana
An important meeting of all Unions of South Waziristan Lower district was held at Rustam Bazar Wana, in which the heads of all unions participated. After the meeting, Acting President of South Waziristan Lower Chamber of Commerce and Industry Saif-Ur- Rehman Wazir while talking to the media demanded the government of Pakistan, that Pak-Afghan border take steps to open an emergency basis.
For past several months, commercial and trades activities have been closed at the Pak-Afghan border Angoor ada due to a few closures and by which not only the business community has been affected but also the general poor class including the people associated with every business in Lower South Waziristan has been affected a lot. At the same time, the pump owners, warehouses and other classes have been badly affected, and the security authorities/officials of Pakistan, Police officials and the District administration are well aware of the closure of the border.
But instead of playing a role, the Government officials are evasive, but unfortunately everyone is silent on this. On this occasion, the decision was unanimously taken after an emergency meeting of Fresh Fruit Union, Transport Union, Traders Union, Customs Clearing agents Union, Warehouse Union and South Waziristan Chamber of Commerce and Industry, that if the government of Pakistan does not take action against these elements by August 24, due to which the Pak-Afghan highway is completely closed for their personal disputes & transactions, so from August 24, an indefinite strike and strong protest will be launched at the Angoor ada border, and there will be a wheel jam strike. Finally, all the unions requested IGFC South KP, Deputy Commissioner South Waziristan Lower Nasir Khan, District Police Officer Farman Ullah and other security officials.
