RAWALPINDI – After indictment by the Anti-Terrorism Court on Thursday, Opposition Leader in the National Assembly Omar Ayub Khan, former Punjab Law Minister Raja Basharat and Malik Ahmed Chatha were arrested in General Headquarters (GHQ) attack case.
Rawalpindi Anti-Terrorism Court Judge Amjad Ali Shah indicted Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founding chairman Imran Khan and 60 other leaders during hearing at a make-shift court setup in Rawalpindi’s Adiala Jail.
All the accused including the PTI founding chairman refuted the allegations. The Police arrested the PTI leaders when the come out of Adiala Jail after the court proceedings. Following the indictment, the court fixed Dec 10 as the date for recording the evidence of the prosecution.
Over 143 PTI leaders and workers including Imran Khan were booked by RA Bazar Police in May 9 riots case. Zulfiqar Bukhari and Shahbaz Gill were listed as fugitives.
