PARIS – Hunting for a medal, Pakistan athlete Arshad Nadeem all se to compete in the javelin throw final at Paris Olympics 2024 today at Stade de France.

The organisers have issued the list of the players for the initial relay and Arshad Nadeem has been placed at the fourth place after Jakub Vadlejch, Andersen Peters and Keshom Walcott.

He will be followed by arch-rival India’s Neeraj Chopra, who will be defending the title today.

Arshad Nadeem will throw javelin at 11:25 pm Pakistan Standard Time.

In the initial round, each athlete will get three attempts to throw the javelin and top eight of them will enter the next stage where they will also get three additional throw. The final positions will be determined on the basis of the best throw to be made by athletes in these six attempts.

Earlier this week, Arshad Nadeem  qualified for the medal round of javelin throw competition at Paris Olympics on Tuesday.

Nadeem, who was placed in Group B, needed to throw at least 84 meters to secure a direct spot in the final.

The Pakistani player qualified for the final round by throwing 86.59 meters on his first attempt.

On the other hand, Neeraj Chopra from India, who was also in Group B, qualified for the javelin throw final by throwing 89.34 meters on his first attempt.
