Mazhar Hussain an official of Land Record Centre Pindi Bhattian was caught red-handed while receiving Rs. 50,000/- from a villager as illegal ratification. According to Circle officer Anti Corruption Establishment Hafizabad, he alongwith a magistrate of Pindi Bhattian raided land record centre and arrested Mazhar Hussain.
The raiding party recovered marked currency notes of Rs. 50,000/- from the accused and registered a case under section 161 PPC and 5/2/47 Prevention of Corruption Act. Further investigations are in process.
