Nur International University (NIU) Lahore organized the Orientation Ceremony Fall 2021 for MPhil Physiology and MPhil Biochemistry students on November 27, 2021.
The ceremony was attended by all new MPhil students, faculty and NIU team members at Fatima Memorial Hospital College of Medicine & Dentistry (FMHCM&D).
Pro-Vice Chancellor of Nur International University, Prof. Dr. Najma Najam welcomed all new students. She informed that Nur International University, Lahore (established in 2015) is a part of multi-dimensional social development institution Nur-Fatima Memorial System (NUR-FMS).
The overall vision governing NUR-FMS is poverty eradication through transforming lives and building future.
The vision of NIU is to train leaders in different professional fields critical to the development of society by focusing on knowledge and research for improving quality of life and living standards based on equity.
The vision of NUR-FMS is based on the teachings of Quran & Sunnah and the Philosophy and Ideology of Allama Muhammad Iqbal and Quaid-e-Azam Mohammad Ali Jinnah. Prof. Dr. Najma said that she hoped this would prove to be a great opportunity for all the young minds and their time at NIU will shape their professional careers.She further added that when the students leave Nur International University after four years, they will be the flag bearers of NUR-FMS and NIU.
Mr. Hassan Mujtaba, Acting Registrar shared the rules and regulations with the new students. Ms. BeenishKashif, Director Admissions and Student Affairs, informed the students about MPhil programs, facilities, Health Services, Nur Wellness Centre at Nur International University. Mr. Zia Rathore, Controller of Examination/Director QEC shared information about assessments and semester rules.
Prof. Dr. Faiza Amir, HOD Biochemistry FMHCM&D, Prof. Dr. Saba Khalid HOD Physiology FMHCM&D, Ms. Maliha Sami, Manager Student Affairs, Dr. AmnaIrum, HOD Physiology and Dr. SamanHina, HOD Biochemistry, were also present at the event.
