LAHORE – National Transmission and Despatch Company Limited (NTDC) have installed a shunt reactor on the 500 kV Guddu-Rahim Yar Khan Transmission Line to enhance power system stability.
Installed on Bay-02 of the Guddu – RYK transmission line, the shunt reactor was energized successfully after all testing.
The newly installed shunt reactor will help control power system voltage more efficiently and will enhance the overall power system stability of the NTDC network.
It will not only improve the voltage profile but also enhance the operational performance of the system in the region. It will also help improve the voltage profile of 500 kV Guddu-Rahim Yar Khan, 500 kV Guddu-Muzaffargarh transmission lines and the power evacuated from the 747 MW Guddu power station.
