The Municipal Corporation (MC) of Sahiwal has issued notices to 107 institutions, including 61 schools and 46 banks, for encroachment, non-approval of building plans and non-payment of conversion fees. The notices were issued on the direction of Commissioner Sahiwal Division ShoaibIqbal Syed.
According to the notifications, the institutions have been directed to remove the encroachments within seven days and pay the conversion fee after getting the building plan approved or else they will be sealed.
A review meeting of the action taken against the mentioned institutions was held in the commissioner’s office under the chairmanship of Additional Commissioner Coordination Shafiq Ahmed Dogar, in which Chief Officer Ashfaq Ahmed gave a detailed briefing. The Additional Commissioner expressed displeasure over the occupation of the rickshaw pullers on the Arifwala Chowk.
