According to the reports, 250 people were booked in a first case registered against them over charges of clash with the police at Faizabad.

The police said the protesters heading to D-Chowk clashed with police at Faizabad, and a case has been filed at the Sadiqabad police station. The police also arrested 17 protesters while 250 individuals were named in the case.

The case was registered under Section 7 of the Anti-Terrorism Act, which stated that three police officers were severely injured due to the protesters’ violence and stone-throwing, and that the protesters also damaged a police patrol vehicle.
