Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazl (JUI-F) Chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman on Thursday has said that there will be no talks with the incumbent government of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) till the resignation of Prime Minister (PM) Imran Khan.
According to sources, Fazlur Rehman told that the government has not contacted him for negotiation. However, now, the time for talks on Azadi March has also passed, he added.
Sources further said that Maulana Fazlur Rehman will meet Opposition Leader in National Assembly (NA) Shahbaz Sharif on October 18 to discuss Azadi March.
Moreover, the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) will also announce its strategy over anti-government protest on the same day.
Earlier, PM Imran Khan had decided to form a committee that will be headed by Defense Minister Pervaiz Khattak for dialogues with JUI-F chairman Maulana Fazlur Rehman. The decision was taken during the meeting of PTI’s core committee.
Meanwhile, the government’s committee on Thursday started contacts with the opposition parties over the ‘Azadi March’ announced by Maulana Fazlur Rehman.
Prime Minister Imran Khan has formed a committee led by Defence Minister Pervaiz Khattak to hold talks with Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazl (JUI-F) chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman and other opposition leaders on the ‘Azadi march’.
