Nine labourers pulled out of bus, shot dead in Balochistan’s Nushki

QUETTA – Nine labourers from Punjab were shot dead by terrorists on the National Highway in Nushki district of Balochistan.

The victims were travelling in a passenger bus Quetta to Taftan when they were offloaded from the vehicle and abducted by the unknown militants.

As the police launched a search operation for the labourers, there bullet-riddled bodies were found under the bridge on the highway.

The victims hailed from Mandi Bahauddin, Wazirabad and Gujranwala areas of Punjab. Nushki Superintendent of Police (SP) Allah Bukhsh told media that all the victims were labourers.

In a separate incident, two people were shot dead while three others suffered injuries, said the police.

Prime Miister Shehbaz sharif has condemned the incident and sought the report of the incident.

Condoling over the killings of labourers, the premier vowed to bring the terrorists and their facilitators to justice.

Meanwhile, Chief Minister Balochistan Mir Sarfraz Bugti expressed deep grief and sorrow over the sad incident. He said terrorists would be dealt with iron hands.
