Akhunzada Fazle Haq Mardan
A newborn baby abducted from Mardan Medical Complex Hospital has been rescued. A mother and daughter from Swabi were arrested on charges of child abduction.
SP Investigation Sanaullah, DSP Sheikh Maltoon Circle Adnan Azam, SHO Darvish Hassan Khan along with the parents of the child while addressing a press conference at the DPO office said that on September 09 from Mardan Medical Complex Hospital.
The newborn baby of local businessman Syed Afzal was taken away by an unknown woman from the nursery ward of the hospital. Sheikh Maltoon police had registered a case against the unidentified kidnappers.
DPO Mardan Dr Zahidullah formed a special team comprising SP Investigation Sanaullah, DSP Sheikh Maltoon Circle Adnan Azam, SHO Darwish Hassan and investigating officers to recover the child and arrest the accused.
The investigation team obtained CCTV footage of the hospital and other evidence. The footage showed two suspicious women. One of them wore a traditional Swabi chador.
