New dialysis centre at Services Hospital on cards: Aleem Khan

Punjab Senior and Food Minister Abdul Aleem Khan on Wednesday announced the plan to establish a new dialysis unit at Services Hospital with 36 modern machines. He said the state-of-the-art dialysis centre will have beds and other facilities for patients.
Chairing a special meeting held here Abdul Aleem Khan said that accordingly, best available facilities will also be provided to their attendants, while well-equipped rooms for doctors, nurses and paramedical staff will be constructed, with all the expenses of these dialysis units being borne by Abdul Aleem Khan Foundation (AAKF).
The senior minister approved the technical design of the two-storey dialysis ward and directed the work on it be started immediately and completed as soon as possible.
He also pledged to donate dialysis machines for the Nephrology Department of Services Hospital, where the machines will be kept on standby also, to deal with any unforeseen situation. Abdul Aleem Khan while ensuring high quality in the renovation of the dialysis wards, said that by the end this month, these 36 modern machines will reach Lahore and as soon as the construction work is completed, this new dialysis unit will be made functional.
All this welfare work will be named after his father, late Abdul Rahim Khan, and will be completed by the AAK Foundation.
The senior minister while announcing renovation of dialysis unit and provision of new machines in Mayo Hospital after Services Hospital, said that the AAKF is active in education, health and public welfare projects and this foundation is unique in its functioning as it does not take donations from any other organization but spends its resources in the way of Allah Almighty for the welfare and practical service of the masses.
In the meeting, senior officers of Health Department and Services Hospital briefed the meeting participants regarding the dialysis units while the director and experts of Abdul Aleem Khan Foundation presented a number of suggestions regarding this project.
