Dr Christian Turner CMG has been appointed UK High Commissioner to the Islamic Republic of Pakistan in succession to Mr Thomas Drew CMG who will be transferred to another Diplomatic Service appointment. Dr Turner will take up his appointment by December 2019. He is married,, held variety of important positions including prime minister’s international affairs adviser and deputy national security adviser, director general, Middle East and North Africa acting political director, director foreign office, London, High Commissioner to Nairobi, cabinet officer, director Middle East, north Africa, North America Oversea and Defence secretariat, Private secretary to prime minister, First Secretary Energy Environment, UK high commission in Washington, and couple of other important assignments, He replaces John Drew, and will take over in Islamabad in December this year, said a press release from UK High commission.
