Chairperson National Commission for Human Rights Rabiya Javeri Agha has condemned attack on Christian priest in Peshawar and urged the government to conduct speedy investigation into the attack.
The NCHR member for Minorities Manzoor Masih who is also member of the Nazriya Pakistan Council’s executive committee attended the funeral of Priest William Siraj who lost his life in terror attack in Peshawar a day earlier.
Manzoor Masih has also demanded justice and protection of Christian community and called for bringing the culprits to the dock.
“The gunmen killed the Christian leader in broad day light. This reflects deteriorating law and order situation and the increased vulnerability of the minorities, he said.
The NCHR has demanded of the authorities to arrest the suspects at earliest.
