Pakistan Muslim League-Quaid (PML-Q) leader Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain on Sunday has urged Prime Minister (PM) Imran Khan to exercise his discretionary powers and allow ex-PM Nawaz Sharif to go abroad for medical treatment along with all the facilities.
In a statement, Chaudhry Shujaat said dragging judiciary into a political matter may have severe consequences, adding that that there is difference between judicial decisions and executive verdicts. “There was no anti-state allegation against Nawaz Sharif as he was accused of financial impropriety,” he asserted.
The PML-Q leader said that in such matters, the courts should not be put on a testing period.—INP
