DUBAI – The National Database Registration Authority (Nadra) is the competent authority to issue the National Identity Card for Overseas Pakistanis (NICOP) to citizens of Pakistan who are residing abroad and are national of a country which has a dual nationality arrangement with Pakistan.
It is necessary for the citizens of Pakistan to obtain the NICOP to get eligible for the assistance offered by the Pakistani embassies abroad. Absence of it can deny the overseas nationals this assistance.
Overseas Pakistanis residing in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) can get their NICOPs renewed by visiting the Consulate General in Dubai and Abu Dhabi. They can also apply for the NICOP in case of stolen or lost.
Required Documents in Case of Lost
Applicants, who lost their NICOP, will be required to bring copy/number of the old NICOP.
NICOP Lost Fee for Pakistanis in Dubai
The normal fee for the NICOP renewal in case of lost stands at AED 75 while urgent fee is AED 110 and Executive fee AED 150.
