ISLAMABAD – National Assembly Speaker Ayaz Sadiq on Wednesday offered his services for negotiations between the government and the opposition.
Speaker Ayaz Sadiq stated that his office and home are always available for government-opposition negotiations, saying that the discussions are necessary to end the bitterness between the two sides.
He expressed his willingness to play a role in negotiations on any matter including political issues, and described the debate that took place in the house as a positive development.
It may be mentioned here that during the National Assembly session on Tuesday, Prime Minister’s Advisor on Political Affairs Rana Sanaullah offered negotiations to PTI, saying that the system could not function without dialogue between the government and the opposition.
Rana Sanaullah mentioned that the PTI should inform the government about the committee, and they wanted to engage in the political talks. He assured that they would make efforts for this and expressed hope that it would yield some positive results.
Before it, PTI Chairman Barrister Gohar Khan had also extended an offer for negotiations, saying that the parliament should provide a path for negotiations.
