Mustafa Kamal apologizes over anti-judiciary remarks

KARACHI  –  Muttahida Qaumi  Movement – Pakistan leader Mustafa Kamal on Tuesday tendered unconditionally apology before the Supreme Court over his anti-judiciary remarks.

Mustafa Kamal submitted an affidavit at the Supreme Court Karachi Registry.

In the affidavit, Mustafa Kamal stated that he holds the judges of the superior judiciary in high regard, especially from the heart, and cannot even think of defaming the judiciary and the judges’ authority and reputation.

Mustafa Kamal said that he unconditionally apologizes for his statement about the judiciary, particularly for the press conference on May 16. He requested forgiveness from the court and surrendered himself before the court.

It may be mentioned here that the Supreme Court had issued a contempt of court notice to Senator Faisal Vawda and Mustafa Kamal for making anti-judiciary statements.
