Pakistan’s most visited hill station Murree and its surrounding regions brace for another round of snowfall and authorities alerted all relevant departments to stay alert.
To avoid any untoward incident, the Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) ordered precautionary measures amid heavy snowfall. Weather in Murree and other hill stations is predicted to turn cold, with the mercury dropping as new westerly wave enters Asian nation.
In its alert, visitors were cautioned to take precautionary measures in light of stormy rain and snowfall in Murree, Galiyat, and surrounding areas over the weekend and in the coming days.

PDMA spokesperson predicted over 70 percent chances of showers and snow on February 19.
Murree administration remains on high alert as all departments are using every possible forum to provide information to tourists.
PDMA further urged visitors to check vehicles thoroughly before leaving for journey. People who are planning to visit Murree were urged to get weather updates before visiting the hill station, tire chains are must along with other basic equipment.
Over a dozen tourist facilitation centres had been established at various places to help and guide the tourists.
